The new Facebook 3.0 App for the iPhone is available now for download from the iTunes store or the iPhone App Store. We give it two thumbs up. The app sports a new, friendly interface that makes Facebook 3.0 for iPhone a bit more like the Desktop version of Facebook. Although the 3.0 version still does not include push notification, support is planned for the 3.1 update.

• Send texts and call your friends
• View friends’ birthdays
• View Pages and post updates and photos to Pages you administer
• Write Notes and read Notes
• Upload videos from an iPhone 3GS
• Upload photos to any album, create albums, delete albums, delete photos, add/delete photo tags, zoom into photos
• Change your Profile Picture
• Like posts and photos
• See the same News Feed as the Facebook website
• Visit links in a built-in web browser
• View mutual friends
• Search for people and Pages
• Make friend requests
• Become a fan of Pages
